This is a figure line with a such long name and a short live
span. I
also read story about this guy got beat up in the market sell by the Robot Damashii
line and banished from the market with just few releases. Too bad, because I
think this is actually one pretty good line. I kinda regret that I got reckless with
him and lost a few parts of him because I was not aware that he actually a hard
to find and already discontinue at that time.
The packing box is really nice and really big compare to its
figure. Maybe that because they want to make space for its special action base.
Well… still feels too much empty room i think.
The looks
Body proportion is great IMO.
Paint aplication is not all neat i think. But I really like how they place a detail text paint on all his green part.
He also have some good purple stripe
colored at the top of the head, shoulder straps, arms, front thighs and leg,
and surprisingly inside the legs which seen when you bend its knees which gives
him a bit of real grade feeling in it. Pretty cool IMO.
There is small gap created at
his neck joint while stay at his normal head position. I think this happen
because his shallow ball cup which maybe, intends to give him more articulation
at that point. Still, it bugs me a little and thinks that they should have
covered it with something.
Joints and articulation
Head and Neck
I think they made a bit mistake when making the ball cup in his
head. Not only gives him the gap looks it does not perform ball movement pretty
well also. The neck joint in other hands works pretty well. Its high peg could
give full rotation at head and give chicken movement which adds head range of
motion.
Shoulder and arms
The Shoulder and arms area is where this guy really shines.
It has all high grade exia movement with additional feature. His shoulder to
arms joint has this retracted swivel which gives him more wide range of motion
at any direction. Has hinge at shoulder armor and rotation at biceps. A peg for beam handle with hinge joint at each shoulder armor. His elbow
has double joint but can’t do 180 due to his lower arms shape. Hands are using
ball hinge joint so it gives not only rotation but also up down movement. Very
cool.
Main Body
Better than Exia HG, main body separated into three parts:
chest, abs and hips. Chest and abs connected using I think a ball peg which
gives him just a bit front, back, side bend with no rotation. He has purple
straps snaps on side of his waist which has a little sliding movement when
moving its chest. Hips connection pretty much the same with its HG using a
round peg, which is kinda loose. I have to add a paint layer to make it stiffer.
Good thing its rotation does not hinder by anything.
His GN drive at the back could be detached with nice lock system.
Front armor had ball peg connection and could have flip movement.
Back armor has about same movement with his front and have 2 beam handle pegs attached. The pegs has same articulation as High Grade.
Legs
Thights and hips connect using ball joints. It has slot at its ball cup so it could do split although not full 180.
The tip of his thighs could be opened and has a hidden peg
to hold its solid GN Long&short blade. Unfortunately the right peg cover is too
loose at mine and pops off easily.
Middle leg movement is similar to
modern high grade movement. It has rotation at upper thighs and double jointed
knee. Like I mentioned before, it has purple straps showed at knee bending
movement.
Foots are connected using ball
hinge. The foot armor has hinge joint to. It has two separated part so could
perform to bend.
Accessories
It has quite many of accessories which I kind of lazy
to mention one by one and I think I have lost some of them. Well, it has its
own unique action base and all the weapon could attach below of it including
its optional hands. Exia has a hole at the bottom of his foot so it could snap itself
to the action base.

the way, I lost right holding hand, so I used HG hand instead).

Size Comparison
Unlike HCM Pro line which has 1/200 scale, SHCM-Pro has the same scale as 1/144 High grade.

Final Thought
I guess giving any recomendation for this guy will be pointless since he is already discontinued right now. But overall, he is better in every aspect compare to the high grade. To bad I can not compare him with robot damashii exia; which turns out to be a same hard to find figure today. Perhaps i will compare him with the real grade later after i got my hand on him.
